We provide 4 sets of services : Mobility Hires, Repairs, Social Inclusion Events, Advocacy.
The secretarial role would involve key responsibilities such as:

• Pre-planning dates for the year ahead to diarise board meetings - ensuring we are in quorate
• Record and Distribute Minutes - Noting Actions - Progressing Reports
• Online OSCR and Companies House Updates
• Part of a cohesive team overseeing the business plans, strategy and decision making
• Participating in the annual Away Day and AGM

Organisation aims and objectives

Shopmobility Renfrewshire provides four sets of services to people with mobility disabilities in Renfrewshire to help them to move around and participate fully in social, economic and cultural activities. First, we provide the free daily hire of traditional wheelchairs, powerchairs (electric wheelchairs) and electric mobility scooters. We also offer longer term hires at a low cost. Second, we provide a repairs and maintenance service for mobility equipment. Third, we arrange opportunities for our clients to attend exciting events and enjoy the culture and social opportunities available in Renfrewshire. Finally, we advocate on the behalf of anyone with a mobility disability in Renfrewshire and ensure that any policy and practices of organisations take them properly into account.

Board Meet 4 times per year - can be anytime as long as we're in quorate and prepared for meeting AGM takes place 1 day - normally in February Away Day takes place 1 day - normally in August Events take place during the year - there's no obligation for you to participate, but you may wish to do so for some

Experience required: Knowledge of third sector would be an advantage, as would experience of mobility disabilities - but not essential Good communication skills
