To help provide effective and efficient advice to members of the public. -Interviewing clients -Finding, interpreting and communicating information so clients can make informed decisions -Act on behalf of clients, when needed - Negotiating, referring and drafting letters for clients -Completing clear case records -Recognising the root cause of problems and participating in taking action Our volunteer Advisers can either be generalist advisers (they advise on many different topics) or they can become specialist advisers (advising on a specific topic(s))

Are you 18+ living in Glasgow/North Lanarkshire and looking to make a difference to a young person in their community? Do you have 1-2 hours spare per week? Are you care experienced yourself or working towards a career in social care? Do you want to gain valuable experience, make a positive change, be part of a likeminded community all whilst having fun? We would love to hear from you! No experience necessary - just an open mind, kindness and compassion! Our service matches volunteer mentors to young people aged between 8-14years who are on the edge of care, in a kinship arrangement or on a CSO. Our mentees are looking for a person to build and grow a positive relationship, try new activities, tackle isolation, build confidence and have fun in the community! We provide in person training, ongoing support and a community of mentors who are there to share experiences. We are there to support you every step of the way! Our service covers all of Glasgow and North Lanarkshire, having a car is desirable but not essential. *This role requires 2 days of training in house and subject to PVG check*

Are you passionate about digital communications and creating outreach content for an online community? If so, we are looking for someone to join our team and work alongside us to develop digital communications strategies and content to empower our community and promote our existing and future projects. We are an arts-based media project supporting women and people from marginal communities to showcase their work and connect with arts focused opportunities across Scotland. Our placement opportunity will provide you with an opportunity to develop digital content to support connecting with our existing community and create growth opportunities to reach out to new members. The role includes: • Creating digital communication strategies to connect with people inclusive and supportive of their community and individual needs. • Creation of community focused digital content for social media platforms. • Supporting the development and implementation of community connection and growth strategy. • Analysis of engagement data and supporting the creation of solutions to increase community connections. • Working alongside the Zya Community team to support sharing of existing projects via digital communication. The commitment is negotiable depending on availability however there is a minimum of 4 hours a week required. We can support with connecting the role with academic outcomes and have flexibility around role duties. Board members are responsible for the strategic management of each bureau, including oversight of planning, evaluation, staffing, managing finances and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Skills and experience are welcome, but training is provided. Interest in the community and bureau is most important.
