Role Title: Trustee/Treasurer

Role description of volunteering opportunity:
The Club runs its own powerchair football training sessions on Tuesdays between 7pm and 10pm at the Citadel in Ayr. Sessions specifically designed for wheelchair users across the Ayrshire region.

Ayrshire Tigers PFC is a community-based Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) based in Ayr which works in partnership with the Scottish Powerchair Football Association (SPFA) to provide equal opportunities for powerchair users in Ayrshire to engage in team sport. The Club is an independent organisation run by its own board of trustees which is elected by its members.
The club is focused on providing opportunities to play, coach and support powerchair football and is open to everyone. The team is currently playing in the Scottish Powerchair Football Championship. The Club was formed to benefit wheelchair users living in Ayrshire to engage in team sport and prevent isolation by offering a place for people to come and feel welcome, have fun and be part of a team.

We are currently seeking committee members with life skills or business experience to assist with the continuous improvement of our work.

We are looking for a Treasurer to join our committee and help guide our organisation as it moves forward into what we see as a new and exciting phase. Our Treasurer will work as part of the Board providing financial oversight and preparing regular finance reports to ensure financial rigour across our organisation.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic individual(s) with accounting and finance experience to assist with the continuous improvement of our work.

The committee meets once every three months for two hours.
If you are new to community work, support and training will be provided.

A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.

Restrictions

Experience required: Some experience of managing or running a business/charity would be advantageous. Finance, Business Management, Community Development, Computer / IT / Web; Fundraising, General Admin; PR / Marketing.
Travel details: Public transport expenses reimbursed on production of tickets. The Club has a clear Volunteer Expenses Policy. Mileage may be paid up to 45p per mile.
