  • Board/trustee role

Description

We are a Community Interest Company (not-for-profit, asset locked) on a mission to reduce the digital inequality for charities, social enterprises, and community groups. We are an entirely unique organisation in the UK and are growing at pace.

We launched in 2019 and are already supporting over 140 charity sector organisations, which we are very proud of!

What is next for GoodCall?

Growth - We have ambitious plans for growth; passionate about continuing to support the organisations we already work with and reaching and supporting lots of more.

Sustainability - We are striving to become independently sustainable, with a goal of reaching this by 2025!

Project work - Alongside our core services, we are starting like to develop digital projects across our local community in Scotland. In 2023 we started working with young women in a Dundee secondary school, helping to empower and enable the ‘Women in Tech’ movement. In 2024 we will scale up this project and look at other partners we can collaborate with to help reduce barriers to employment for those in our community.

The Opportunity

We love and are very proud of what we do at GoodCall, and we are looking for two Directors to join the team. Do you share our passion for digital equality in the third sector?

Skills and Experience? The third sector organisations we support are across the full spectrum of our community, and to be truly effective, we need our board to reflect the organisations we serve. Diversity in gender, race, ethnicity, class, age, or sexual orientation will be welcomed. We would particularly welcome individuals with experience of charity sector governance, and those with charity finance experience.

Organisation aims and objectives

GoodCall is a Dundee based Social Enterprise supporting organisations across the UK. We are a Community Interest Company (not-for-profit) on a mission to reduce the digital inequality for the non-profit sector in the UK. We simplify, guide, and provide mobile technology knowledge and resources, to charities, community groups, and other non-profit organisations. We envision a digitally inclusive non-profit sector, where staff, volunteers and service users can gain and use mobile technology to their fullest capabilities, all for the benefit of their wider society.
