Quarriers Ruchazie Nursery is a purpose-built facility, with bright modern rooms, designed around the needs of children from birth to three years. Children, and their needs in the early stages of their development, are at the heart of our service.

We are urgently seeking a dedicated Volunteer Administrator to join our team and make a real difference in our Organisation. Your support will be vital in helping us manage essential administrative tasks and ensure our operation runs smoothly. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team and provide support with, answering calls, dealing with queries and other general administration tasks.

Ideally, we are looking for a volunteer with good interpersonal skills, someone who is friendly, willing to work as part of the team as well as capable of working on their own. Working within a friendly team.

Organisation aims and objectives

Quarriers is a Scottish charity providing practical support and care for children, adults and families. We challenge poverty and inequality of opportunity and choice, to bring about positive change in people's lives. Quarriers operates 127 Projects throughout Scotland and South-West England. They vary greatly, due to the wide variety of needs that we address but include group homes and supported living services for people with physical and learning disabilities, support services and Scotland's only residential assessment service for people with complex forms of epilepsy; a residential and day school and community based projects for children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties; hostels and support services for young homeless people; family centres; respite and long term care for children with a range of disabilities and other difficulties and support services for carers.

Frequency and commitment details

Ideally 3 - 7 hours per week but this is dependent on the volunteer’s availability. To get the most out of the role it is hoped the volunteer can commit for a minimum of six months.
