Description

We are looking for someone to join our small team to help serve, engage with customers and clear up in our weekly community based cafe.
To lay out and clear away tables and chairs before and after the café
To prepare and serve hot drinks, soup, cakes etc to our customers
To engage with and chat to customers
To be part of the small team of 4 and help provide a service to the local community

Restrictions

Experience required: Must be able to carry a tray of hot drinks and food Willing, committed, reliable – no previous experience needed
Travel details: On local bus routes. Small car park at rear of the church hall
Minimum age: 16

Support

Training details: Training/Support given on the job by existing staff/volunteers. Could offer food hygiene certification if volunteer committed.

The award winning Larick Centre has a beautiful community-run café on the edge of Tentsmuir Forest. It’s vibrant café serves Tayport and welcomes walkers, cyclists, centre users and locals, as well as providing catering for groups who use the centre. The cafe is open seven days a week, 10am-4pm and has indoor and outdoor seating, and take away food and drink options. The café serves hot & cold drinks, hot breakfasts, freshly made sandwiches, burgers, soup, cakes and tray bakes all with vegan, dairy and gluten free choices available. They are looking for volunteers to help for a couple of hours a week, with front of house (serving customers, taking orders, clearing tables) and/or to assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties. Whether you have experience or are looking to gain experience in the hospitality trade or other opportunities involving the public, then this could be the position for you.
