To assist the Day Care Club Organiser with the delivery of the day club's service. To be a companion to service users who are comprised of older and other vulnerable adults. Tasks include: to assist with the setting up and preparation of breakfast and lunches; to assist with the delivery of activities and to be a companion to service users who may otherwise be isolated.
We are currently looking for Volunteer/Trainees to join our kitchen in ARS Community Café and Culinary Services.
You will have the opportunity to learn from the chef, gain hands-on kitchen and cooking experience, and develop the skills necessary to excel in your chosen field.
You will work alongside our chef, gaining experience in our community café, in room dining and banqueting operations.

The Breadmaker is part of the Aberdeen Day Project - a registered charity, successful social enterprise, artisan bakery and coffee house.
We are seeking volunteers who would like to help in a coffee shop/bakery environment and also volunteer with a team to provide training and support for adults with learning disabilities in a working Coffee shop and Bakery environment.
We are also looking for volunteers who might be able to assist with outings , social events 1 to 1 peer support

-Welcome Aboard / Get Involved: AHOY! The Tall Ships Races are returning to Aberdeen in 19-22 July 2025. Be part of the celebration. The Tall Ships Aberdeen team are looking for help to give the international crews and visitors a warm Aberdeen welcome and make the Tall Ships Festival a huge success! There is a role for everyone.
-Roles: As a Tall Ships volunteer, you get to experience the event first hand. Take part in a wide variety of roles from Spectator Services, Media, Event Operations, Transport Coordinators, Liaison Officers, Crew Services, Protocol, Hospitality. Our aim is to make our volunteer programme inclusive, diverse and accessible to all. Please get in touch with any special requirements and take your place as a volunteer at the Tall Ships Races.
Liaison Officers: We need volunteers to act as a host to the ships and their crews while they are in port. Liaison Officers are the link between the ship, the crews, the city and the entire festival. They represent Aberdeen and help the ships with almost everything!

-Skills You Will Need:
• No experience necessary! We welcome everyone who loves the sea and wants to contribute! We will provide full training for your role during the festival.
• You must be 16 years or older as of 1 July 2025.
• Available to volunteer for approximately 3 shifts from 19 July – 22 July
• Liaison Officers are required to be available for training sessions in advance of the festival (approx. 4-8 hours) and the full festival dates.

We are seeking kind people to help run a cooking class and teach recipes you like to share! If you don't feel comfortable teaching a class, you could show your cooking/baking skills at our Youth Club, Phoenix Club and/or Pensioners Club!
The classes are built around you: age group, number of participants and length of the classes.
It's a great opportunity to gain confidence and skills!
All our volunteering classes are free for our members.

Would you like to support someone through their cancer journey?
Tayside Cancer Support offers a free, confidential, one-to-one befriending service for those affected by cancer in the Tayside area and help establish support groups which offer a valuable network for people facing a diagnosis of cancer either themselves or in a loved one. In addition, we provide specialist Mindfulness courses for anyone affected by cancer.
Our volunteers are the key to the Charity’s success. Everyone has skills that can be put to good use! If you think you’d like to get involved whether with our fundraising activities and events; getting involved with hospital visits or within our drop in support groups, we would love to have a chat with you.
There is an opportunity to volunteer at the OPEN HOUSE in Penicuik Town Hall on Saturday mornings. Open House is a friendly place which serves coffees, teas, homemade cakes and scones at modest prices and later in the morning, soup and bread. There is also a popular fortnightly exhibition on topics relating to Penicuik’s fascinating life and history. As a volunteer you would join an enthusiastic team which works in groups of two or three according to a rota. There are two shifts: the first from 9:30am- 11:45am and the second from 11:45am-2:00pm. You would help to lay out crockery, food and drinks as guided; serve the customers and wash up and clear away at the end. You would offer a friendly welcome to all customers, many of whom are regulars, and you would help to create a sociable and relaxed atmosphere where people can meet their friends and make new ones.

The Coorie Cafe is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join the small team in our weekly community cafe. Volunteers will provide excellent customer service, prepare and serve food and beverages, take payment, maintain a clean and welcoming environment to the local community.
Have you ever fancied working behind a bar or did you work behind the bar at college, do you miss it?
We are on the look out for new behind the bar volunteers to join our team and help out at the many varied events that take place in Duns Volunteer Hall. Events range from movie nights to live music, comedy nights to murder mystery. The times and days that bar staff are required also vary so can fit around you. You do not have to commit to a set number of hours, just as many or as few as you can manage. No experience is necessary as you will be given in house training and be partnered with an experienced volunteer.

Role Description :
• Grab your apron, check fridge lights are on and familiarize yourself with the stock and price lists.
• Turn on bar lights and open shutter.
• Serve customers with a smile.
• Use the tablet/till/card machine provided, as instructed.
• Clear any dirty glasses into glass washer.
• At the appropriate time collect empty glasses from tables and load washer.
• Once washer is finished put clean glasses back on shelves.
• Restock fridges when you get a chance.
• At the end of the evening collect all glasses and fill/empty washer.
• Close and lock shutter.
• Turn off bar counter lights.
• Clean bar surfaces.
• Congratulate yourself on a job well done.
Dundonald Castle is a 14th Century hilltop fortified ruin which is looked after on a daily basis by The Friends of Dundonald Castle SCIO, who also manage the attraction’s Visitor Centre.
We are currently looking for volunteers for our cafe. Full day and half day shifts are available and tasks will include:
- Greeting/welcoming customers
- Helping with serving customers
- Keeping the visitor centre clean and tidy
- Daily set up and clean up
- Preparing food and drinks
- Restocking and compiling shopping lists
- Assisting regular groups in the cafe including Knit n Natter, Scrabble, History Group and Walking Group
