Nourish is a vital support for many members of our community and our support centre plays a large part in the
support we provide. We feel that our support centre provides a lifeline to many and as such we want to make sure all
contact is positive and effective in hearing, understanding, and supporting, whether that is in person, via phone, and
by email.
It is with this in mind that we have vacancies for part time volunteer receptionists, to support and cover the reception
area at our Support Centre. The role will be a wonderful opportunity to learn and apply admin and reception skills.
We are holding a volunteer Taster morning on 15th March 2024 at 10:00am so come along and join us!

Restrictions
Experience required: Volunteers need to have a sunny disposition and to be able to work as part of a team,
no specific skills are needed as training and mentoring will be provided where
needed.
Travel details: Our family support centre in based at Elizabeth House, 1C Barcley Court, Kirkcaldy, KY1 3WE where there is ample
free parking and is also accessible via bus number 18 or 39A from Kirkcaldy Bus Station.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: As part of a volunteers induction they will be shown how to claim any out of pocket travel expenses
which are payable weekly. Please note Nourish offer all volunteers beverages and snacks on site
Training details: inductions are carried out as volunteers start regarding all Health and Safety issues
and wellbeing within their place of volunteering.
Induction, mentoring and buddying is then put in place to allow volunteers to feel empowered
to carry out the role effectively.
Regular catch up session are held to understand and support needs
Regular team building events are held including volunteers and employees.
Learning and training opportunities are shared with all volunteers
