Early Intervention is a neurodivergent safe space for neuro divergent children and their families. A non-judgmental environment where you can be your true authentic self. Managed by volunteers we offer specialist support - Speech and Language therapy, Music Therapy, Pet therapy, and opportunities for children up to 9 years old to socialise with their neurokin whilst empowering them to embrace their identity, we also offer opportunities for semi structured play, arts and crafts and sensory messy play. Looking for friendly volunteers to help us support families at sessions, no experience necessary but would especially love to hear from those with lived experience - neurodivergent adults and or people with a close connection to neurodiversity or ASN for example an autistic family member. Although no experience is necessary, we would love to hear from any practicing/retired or student Speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, play therapists, teachers, or those with experience in social care and early years childcare. Early Intervention is a volunteer-led organisation which has been providing services to neurodivergent children and their families since February 2022. This is an exciting time to get involved with us as we are seeking to develop the services we offer and to look at making the transition to becoming a Scottish Charity. FRIDAY YOUTHWORK TEAM – VOLUNTEERING This opportunity is for vibrant people who enjoy all that is involved with working with young people of various backgrounds. The Ayr Ark is open to young people on Friday evenings from 6:30-9:00pm. Volunteers are required to help from 6:00pm-9:15pm, this will involve both set up and pack down. Some of the responsibilities include, handling money and use of our till, serving drinks and snacks at the bar, engaging with young people through conversation and/or games, and being a role model to our young people. Volunteer roles are rotated to different areas within the building throughout the night, to allow you to gain more skills and qualities. One of our volunteers, started coming to the Ayr Ark at the age of 13 and went on to become a part of our volunteer group. Erin recently left us to start UNI but when asked about her experience as a volunteer she said: “I’ve made friends for life here and gained skills and real life experience I never thought possible, and it helped me grow as a person” – Erin Cran, Volunteer.

Are you care experienced yourself or working towards a career in social care? Do you want to gain valuable experience, make a positive change, be part of a likeminded community all whilst having fun? We would love to hear from you! No experience necessary - just an open mind, kindness and compassion! Our service matches volunteer mentors to young people aged between 8-14years who are on the edge of care, in a kinship arrangement or on a CSO. Our mentees are looking for a person to build and grow a positive relationship, try new activities, tackle isolation, build confidence and have fun in the community! We provide in person training, ongoing support and a community of mentors who are there to share experiences. We are there to support you every step of the way! Our service covers all of Glasgow and North Lanarkshire, having a car is desirable but not essential. *This role requires 2 days of training in house and subject to PVG check*

As a Voluntary Workshop Assistant you will become part of a team within our farm and gardens, set in beautiful surroundings 5miles outside of Aberdeen city centre and close to the Deeside Railway line. The opportunity does not require you to have previous experience, we just ask that you are caring, patient and willing to help our pupils, have an interest in people and different ways of communications. Our pupils age from 12-25 years old and as part of your position, you will be with them when they attend the various workshops (woodwork, metal, weavery, felt, candle, pottery, bike and Fruver- our food workshop)as part of their personalised daily routines and assist them with their tasks. Training provided in induction and support given throughout the volunteering time within Camphill School Aberdeen.
