Come and join us at The Coorie Cafe, One Dalkeith, where good food and the community meet in the heart of Dalkeith. Our cafe is more than just a place to enjoy delicious, homemade food and drinks; it’s a warm inviting space where friends and neighbours gather to relax, connect and create.
The Coorie Cafe is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join the small team in our weekly community cafe. Volunteers will provide excellent customer service, prepare and serve food and beverages, take payment, maintain a clean and welcoming environment to the local community.
Organisation aims and objectives
To enhance economic, environmental and social community regeneration in Dalkeith working in the areas of Arts, Culture & Heritage, Environment, Community Facilities, Town Centre and Economy.

Restrictions
Experience required: Strong communication and customer service skills, a positive attitude, reliability and teamwork. Prior cafe, hospitality or basic food handling experience is a bonus, but training will be provided.

Training details: Volunteers receive and initial orientation, hands-on training (including basrista training) and on-going support throuh regularly check-ins and guidance from the cafe manager.
