Description

We urgently need to train more supporters in your local area to meet the increasing demand on this vital service. Will you help us to offer support - and give hope - to families who are struggling with the death of someone close?

To provide support or counselling to anybody who has been bereaved and who approaches us for help.

Frequency and commitment details

We look for a minimum of two hours per week for a two year period - but we would like you to stay longer.

Restrictions

PVG certificate required - this will be applied for by your local office.
Experience required: Did you know that you don't need to be a counsellor to apply for this training? The opportunity is open to those who have experience of working with children and young people, and/or interest in furthering skills in working with bereaved children and young people.
Travel details: Support is given in various different locations in your local area.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Public transport costs covered or if using own transport, 45p per mile.
Training details: The full training course is delivered from 10am - 4pm over Zoom on the following dates: • 31 August & 1 September • 14 & 15 September • 5 & 6 October • 2 & 3 November • 16 & 17 November • 20 November & 1 December All six weekends need to be attended. Supervision support, induction and ongoing training provided.
