Description

We have lots of opportunities across our buildings and workshops. Some of the places and ventures we are looking for volunteers for are our wood workshop, textile workshop, upcycling, van driving, furniture deliveries and uplifts, clothes recycling, giving talks on personal interests, shop assistant, running workshops, running social groups and much more.

Organisation aims and objectives

Cothrom is an Adult Training Provider based in Ormiclate, South Uist. The organisation offers a variety of learning opportunities from informal adult courses to the more formal SVQ courses in Childcare, Computing, Management, Hospitality and Customer Service. The building has an in-house full time Gaelic Nursery. Cothrom Restore has a shop and workshop which recycles and sells furniture.

Restrictions

Experience required: Someone who is committed to equality and respect, and would like to make a positive difference within their own life or in their community.
Travel details: We cover all travel expenses. We are also looking to start transporting volunteers soon with a mini bus.
