Drinklink believe that no one life should be negatively affected by someone else’s drinking. Our aim is to link people affected by someone else’s drinking, we know the impact of this can be wide reaching so we work to provide signposting to support, and services to facilitate education and recovery. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager Volunteer to join us on a voluntary basis. *Key Responsibilities include: • In cooperation with the Business Development Director develop a business development: funding, fundraising and corporate sponsorship strategy to identify priority areas of Drinklink’s operations. • Ensure adherence to compliance and governance protocols relating to donations. • Proactively identify fundraising opportunities to ensure cashflow pipeline is sufficient to sustain the ongoing viability of the charity. • Work with the Business Development Team to support our business development activities to help ensure the growth of our work. • Ensure engagement with all internal and external stakeholders. The role involves working from home. Previous experience in a similar role in a charitable/volunteer environment would be desirable. Support girls and young women for an hour a week to have adventures, have fun, and make a difference in their local community! Join our team of volunteers, with groups meeting across the Borders. Would you like to go on fun adventures, explore and laugh with friends? At Girlguiding we do everything from camping to campaigning! We’re all about girls and young women laughing, learning and having adventures. Why not join the fun? Our county team meet about 5 times a year to make amazing things happen for girls and young women in the Borders. Come be an essential part of the team – help plan county budgets, keep accounts and arrange reviews, approve and make payments as required, support the volunteer team and groups across Borders to make magic happen! ARCHIE Child Bereavement Service (part of the ARCHIE Foundation charity) provide direct support to bereaved children and young people throughout Grampian. Due to an increased demand in our service we are seeking volunteers in a variety of areas including: responders to visit bereaved families, fundraisers, event and admin helpers and a treasurer. Key objectives of our Volunteers are: To support the work of GCBN through contributing to the range of services provided. To make a positive difference to the lives of the children, young people and their families who have been affected by bereavement Our responder service entails people visiting bereaved families and undertaking direct support work with children and young people and their families. We also run event days for children staffed up by our volunteers. We are particularly keen to recruit a volunteer with a financial or accounts background to take on our treasurer role. Excellent support and training is provided to all volunteers e.g.: induction includes self awareness, policy and procedures of charity. Training in child protection and bereavement support. Support from coordinator and board of trustees. All help makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.
