Description

Kirkcaldy Rugby Club is looking for volunteers to assist with catering on matchdays.

You can get involved with:

  • preparing refreshments
  • making food, normally sandwiches and light bites
  • serving customers and members
  • cleaning up at the end of the session

If you like working with food or would like to gain more experience of catering, while getting involved with a friendly and fun team, this could be the role for you. No experience is needed as full training and support will be provided.

Organisation aims and objectives

We are a community rugby club and charity based in Kirkcaldy. Our club is based around volunteers of which there are over 60. We cover some areas of high deprivation. Our ethos is built around teamwork, discipline, commitment, enjoyment and respect. People are developed physically, socially and psychologically, developing skills such as resilience, confidence leadership and determination. We also have a successful track record of working in the local community to increase activities and sociability, including delivery of sessions within local schools

Restrictions

Experience required: Volunteers should be enthusiastic and keen to learn. Experience of catering is a plus but training will be provided.
Travel details: The Pavilion, Balwearie Road, Kirkcaldy.
Minimum age: 14

Expenses details: Expenses paid at public transport rates.
Training details: Volunteers will be given induction training and ongoing support. Volunteers will also be able to access their food hygeine.
