Description

Join the Board of Clutter Chat to help steer this young charity that supports those with chronic clutter and hoarding habits through self help groups. See our website for more details of our work www.clutterchat.co.uk

We are a Glasgow-based and online meet-up giving support, encouragement and inspiration for dealing with life’s material clutter. Clutter affects everyone: it affects all ages, heritages, and walks of life.

Clutter Chat is seeking Board member(s) to steer the course of this recently formed charity to support those with chronic clutter and hoarding habits through self-help groups. The groups started in 2014, and we registered as a charity in 2020. Currently, we run 2 groups, one on Zoom and one in person, in partnership with a Housing Association.

New Board members with experience in partnership working, mental health, social work, and fire and rescue services, would be particularly welcome, as well as those with bookkeeping skills, who would be willing to take over the role of treasurer, and those able and willing to minute our meetings.

We would like to welcome people from all walks of life as the issue with clutter/hoarding can affect a wide variety of people, including neurodivergent groups.

If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on info@volunteerglasgow.org
