Community Education delivers free confidence-building workshops to young people, and we want you to help us in our mission to empower communities to become more resilient. We ask that you: Are available to help us for a minimum of 8 hours per month. Can commit to helping us for a minimum of 9 months. You will need to have use of your own vehicle. You will need to have use of your own phone and laptop or computer. Volunteering days and times could vary week-in-week. Please note as part of this role you will be expected to travel up to one hour to venues to deliver workshops. Workshops can take place at various times, usually between 9am and 5pm during the week. You will be required to carry learning materials or light-weight training equipment. If you have previous experience that’s great, but we will give full training and support if you are passionate about this and want to get involved. We ask that you can commit to this role and to working through the role induction. 70% of the learning will be done practically, along with some online learning modules, with a view to be independently delivering one of our workshops within 3 months of joining Community Education. We will provide you with all training resources, and we will support you by providing opportunities for observations, feedback, and training. Diversity is something we celebrate. We are looking for people to volunteer 2-4 hours per week/fortnight to help support our youth work sessions. Our incredible volunteers play an integral role in helping to facilitate our youth work sessions including supporting activities such as cooking, fitness sessions, after school clubs and holiday activities. Our volunteers work alongside experienced youth workers and help create a safe space where young people can be themselves, take part in new activities and build their confidence. Assisting our experienced youth workers with our youth programmes Supporting young people to take part in activities Offering your expertise in other areas such as fundraising, finance, HR or administration Most of the volunteering takes place within our setting but on occasionally we ask if our volunteers would like to join us on youth trips. For these trips, transport is normally provided but agreed out of pocket expenses can be paid if agreed with our team. Our volunteers carry out a thorough induction including PVG check, working through a volunteer induction and handbook and reading through relevant policies. Our induction also includes certain mandatory training including child protection.

To volunteer approximately 2.5 hours per week every wednesday evening and assist at trips and events to locations such as carnivals, boat trips, go karting etc, and other fun events. The Youth Hub has been in existance for approximatlely two years and provides a safe haven for young people to have fun, relax and enjoy activities and events. Assisting with set up of table tennis equipment, football goals and badminton, help staff and other volunteers to ensure the centre is kept maintained and secure whilst the Youth Hub is in operation. Ideal volunteers are those who display an eagerness to assist and support young people, have fun and be flexible.
