Organisation aims and objectives

ENABLE Scotland is a national voluntary organisation run by its members who are people with learning disabilities, carers, family members and volunteers. ENABLE Scotland believes that people with learning disabilities should be valued as full and active members of the community. Our branches are mainly run by volunteer members. A branch committee is elected each year from the local members and organises the local activities of the branch. Most of our branches serve a local area but some are for people with a special interest eg for self advocates or for families from ethnic communities.
