The Breadmaker is part of the Aberdeen Day Project - a registered charity, successful social enterprise, artisan bakery and coffee house.

We are seeking volunteers who would like to help in a coffee shop/bakery environment and also volunteer with a team to provide training and support for adults with learning disabilities in a working Coffee shop and Bakery environment.

We are also looking for volunteers who might be able to assist with outings , social events 1 to 1 peer support

An exciting and fantastic opportunity to volunteer in an award winning bakery and help make a real difference for people we support as well. Excellent training and support is provided to all volunteers and all help is greatly appreciated.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Breadmaker is part of the Aberdeen Day Project (a registered charity), is an artisan bakery and coffee house. Located in Aberdeen City we are a successful social enterprise who produce and sell a range of quality handcrafted breads and confectionary to wholesale and retail customers alike with the purpose of providing a range of work placements, training and social activities for adults with learning disabilities (apprentices) who can otherwise experience exclusion and isolation in society.

Flexible times available to help. All help is greatly appreciated and makes a positive difference.

Restrictions

Travel details: The Breadmaker is based at 50-52 Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen (is served by local bus routes and any transport costs will be paid).

Expenses details: We pay any approved public transport rates and reimburse volunteers every week.
Taster available: Yes
Training details: Excellent training and support is provided to all volunteers.

This is a chance to volunteer as part of a team at an established charity and social enterprise in the heart of Aberdeen. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for cooking and baking to help grow and develop our apprentices, while volunteering in a fun environment. Volunteers will need to be patient and understanding, you should be confident in your abilities and be able to take responsibility. Coffee Shop Volunteers

Volunteering alongside our coffee shop staff and our adults with learning disabilities (Apprentices). Kincorth Community Centre Hub Volunteers

The Kincorth Community Centre Hub has great volunteer opportunities to assist with a range of activities at the Hub. Volunteer roles include supporting our busy community cafe, which has rapidly taken off, we currently open 9.30 -2.30, but our aim is to run a breakfast and supper club, as well as have the cafe open for activities in the evening. We have a diverse community that has a lot to offer e.g.: art classes/exercise group/dance class/music lessons and we are always open to new ideas-we are more or less a blank canvass. Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. Level 2 Hygiene Certificate will be offered to those who want to volunteer/cook in the café. Any other training would be reviewed and provided if proved relevant. A fantastic, enjoyable opportunity to volunteer and help make a real difference for people and the community.
