To help with the weekly production of a small local news service on returnable USBs.

Organisation aims and objectives

The Galloway Talking Newspaper is a charity, run by volunteers, who produce a weekly audio-tape of news from the Wigtownshire Free Press and the Galloway Gazette. A magazine USB of articles and interviews is also sent out regularly. The media is distributed, free of charge, to those who by reason of visual impairment, or physical handicap, are unable to read these newspapers for themselves. At present approximately 90 news-tapes are sent out every week and returned for re-use. Restrictions

Experience required: Basic computer skills for Secretary position . All other positions need only a basic ability to edit newspaper articles prior to reading with a clear voice.
Minimum age: 18
