Woodcraft Folk are looking for group leaders and helpers for our Stirling groups. There are 3 groups for children and young people of differing age ranges from 6-9's to 13-16's. The groups meet one evening a week in term time but may organise day trips and camps in school holidays.
Our groups aim to develop children and young people's confidence and awareness of the world. We promote big ideas like equality, co-operation and environmental sustainability through fun activities.
We do a wide range of activities including games, craft, exploring nature, bushcraft, drama, discussions and songs. As well as weekly group nights we take part in day events and camps with groups from across Scotland.

Tayside Re-users uses databases to record and manage the sales of goods and stock movements from collection to sale as well as calculating the savings in weight and CO2 of items which would otherwise be thrown into landfill. This role will involve transferring information from accompanying documentation to the database and then filing the documentation. This role will give you the skills and experience you need to work in many organisations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be an inspiring leader, working alongside a team of assistant and junior leaders to run activities that encourage young people to explore and develop a passion for nature.
As a Youth Group Main Leader you will be:
Designing, planning and delivering a programme of monthly outdoor activities and meetings that give young people opportunities to connect with and take and for nature through site visits, practical conservation tasks and outdoor learning.
Coordinating and leading a team of assistant and junior leaders to help run the group, agreeing roles for each team members to ensure meetings are planned and delivered safely and successfully.
Ensuring your groups is promoted within the local community and on social media to raise awareness and grow group membership
Ensuring all meetings are risk assessed and Safeguarding and first aid standards are met including attending relevant training.
Liaising with site owners at meeting venues and ensuring the group has access to equipment and resources as necessary.
Responsibility for ensuring records of attendance are kept that adhere to GDPR regulations, and ensuring the group’s finances are managed responsibly.
Regularly inviting feedback from leaders and group members to evaluate the success of group meetings and implementing improvements as required.
Communicating with parents, members of your group and other youth group leaders.
Working with your Country Youth Group Contact to ensure the smooth running of the group.
Leaders usually spend two to five hours per month outside of meetings on the role depending on how the responsibilities are shared within the group leaders and what activities are planned.

Being a Community Facilitator is all about delivering a variety of lifesaving first aid skills in community engagement workshops and projects, within local communities, and primary and secondary schools. A lot of these projects involve talking about and demonstrating the basics of first aid to community groups that can include children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The role is all about promoting first aid awareness and helping to achieve our mission to create a nation of lifesavers.
Tayside Re-users regularly receives donations of bicycles. Some require repair before they are ready for resale in our shop. We have a dedicated repair area and this has repair equipment and supplies of spare parts. This opportunity would suit someone who has a passion for bikes, experience of bike repairs and able to carry out basic repairs to bikes to give them a new lease of life.

You Will Be Part Of A Team Of Volunteers Running Each Session Which Will Be Held On A Variety Of Days Throughout The Holidays,

Tayside Re-Users try their best to avoid ditching furniture in landfill. Some of the household goods we receive require upholstering to make them suitable for resale in our shop. We have a dedicated area for upholstery but the ideal volunteer would be looking to develop their existing upholstery skills.
As an environmental charity, we aim to keep as much as we can out of landfill. One of our main areas of work is recycling electrical goods. This involves recording incoming goods, cleaning and repair and PAT Testing. This role would suit someone who is familiar with the workings of white goods and able to carry out repairs. If you are interested in a diverse role which can help the community, this one is for you!
Are you a skilled handyperson with a drive to give back to your community? If so, then we want to hear from you!
We are looking for people to assist us on an ad hoc basis to make community gardens safer, more accessible, and visually welcoming. If this sounds like the ideal opportunity for you, then we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities include:
- Performing general maintenance or development tasks for community gardens such as; raised bed construction/repairs, shed repairs, fencing, path laying, or other hard/soft landscaping.
- Carrying out routine check-ups following a pre-arranged plan with a community garden.
We are looking for volunteers with the following skills:
- Skilled in basic practical tasks and maintenance work.
- Willing to travel around local area or beyond (FEL can help provide transport/cover expenses).
- Availability to commit on an ad hoc basis.
- A positive outlook and willing to meet communities at their level of understanding.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff.
