You don't need to be a social media or marketing expert for this role - just able to use the internet, email and confident talking to people. We’ll tell you about our latest national fundraising activities, emergency appeals and campaign messages so you can tell others and encourage them to take part, support and attend events. You’ll research local opportunities, and contact local businesses, schools and local groups. You’ll also find free ways to tell your community about what’s happening locally and nationally. The Community Fundraising Manager is only a phone call away for support and you’ll meet up with them regularly to make promotional plans and for any mutual updates. It’s a really flexible role which can fit around your other commitments. If you’re over 18 and can commit to at least two hours a week for a minimum of six months please get in touch.

Media Co-ordinator

  • DFC in the Community Trust

The role of the Media Co-ordinator will involve weekly opportunity at Dens Park stadium. You will volunteer alongside the Community Trust Manager to share the roles and activity of the Community Trust via social media, website and match day programme. This role will include visits to projects to promote and raise further awareness. Projects include educational talks and workshops, walking football and sessions for young people. The media co-ordinator will be asked to create a live feed during event delivery and also use pictures and film to bring our projects to life. The co-ordinator will support the development of our website through updates.

Join our friendly SCAA team as a Speaker. Attending pre-arranged talks with local groups, Speakers provide insight into our work and highlight emotional patient stories. We seek friendly individuals and no formal experience needed. Sign up to one of our pre-arranged talks. Contact the organisation to introduce yourself and confirm closer to the date. Provide an engaging and informative talk utilising SCAA kit to a local group, answering questions and helping raise awareness of SCAA and its work in the community. Highlight the various ways to support SCAA through fundraising, volunteering, and social media. Follow SCAA banking procedure when you receive donations. Occasionally work with another Volunteer or Staff Member and provide feedback to Community Fundraiser. This role has both in-person and virtual opportunities.

WaterAid Speaker Network Volunteers

WaterAid Speakers are trained volunteers that deliver inspiring talks and workshops, to raise awareness about the importance of clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, to transform peoples’ lives for good. Our Speaker volunteers engage audiences about the important work of WaterAid, inspiring them to take action, as they speak with schools, universities, businesses, youth groups, religious places of worship, service organisations, and many more. WaterAid Speakers: •Deliver a minimum of four talks or workshops per year, either online and/or face to face. •Deliver talks or workshops on key days such as: World Water Day on 22 March, World Toilet Day on 19 November, Menstrual Hygiene Day on 28 May and Global Handwashing Day on 15 October. •Contact new audiences to organise and deliver talk and workshop opportunities. •Complete online Speaker Network training and adhere to volunteer guidance and best practise. •Make use of our public speaking resources (such as PowerPoint presentations) included in our Speaker e-newsletter, emails, and online resource library. •Keep up to date with our key messages, appeals, campaigns, fundraising and volunteering. •Regularly liaise with the Speaker Network team about talks and workshops. •Provide feedback on talks or workshops by completing the online evaluations. •Provide support to new Speakers around their public speaking development. •Demonstrate the WaterAid values including being considerate when representing WaterAid and always leaving others with a positive view of our organisation and the work that we do. HALLA Board Secretary /Administrator

Volunteer Secretary/Administrator we need you, with you inspiration and motivation to serve as a board member on the Management Board of HALLA (Harlaw Area Lifelong Learning Association). We are a Board of people who run daytime and evening classes at Kaimhill Learning Centre, (Garthdee). We have a FB page ( @HALLACommunity) where you can see some of our activities and tutored classes. We meet once a month to discuss new opportunities and management issues, to find new ways of how-to bring people of all ages of the community into the centre. A volunteer should be passionate, enthusiastic and have a keen interest in community matters. A secretary / administrator volunteer requires specific skills such office procedure, basic accounting and IT skills (excel, word) but enthusiasm and interest in the community are equally important. This is an amazing opportunity to discover your “hidden talents” !!! You need to attend our monthly Board meetings for taking notes, minutes and prepare all the documentation and email the Board members. HALLA has a computer in the centre. Your volunteering would be much appreciated, you would be a great addition to our tremendous Board!!! A fantastic opportunity to help and make a difference for the community. A volunteer does not necessarily require specific skills since we all support each other to develop new skills but if you have specific ones, it would be good to introduce them to the rest of the Board so we can use them to benefit the local community. The Board would appreciate people with knowledge of IT and office procedures but enthusiasm and interest in the community are equally important. This is an amazing opportunity to discover your “hidden talents” !!! You are very welcome to attend a committee meeting and see if this is for you.
