Young Enterprise Scotland (YES)

Our vision is that all young people will have the opportunity to gain personal experience of how business works, understand the role it plays in providing employment and creating prosperity, and be inspired to improve their own prospects, and the competitiveness of Scotland. YES provides almost 7,000 young people each year, regardless of location, circumstances, curriculum choice, career plans or academic strength, the opportunity to be enterprising and to understand how business works.

Berwickshire Housing Association - Befriend Project

Berwickshire Housing Association builds and manages homes to rent to suit a range of lifestyles, personal needs and family sizes that people can afford. We do so in communities throughout Berwickshire and are ever keen to expand the number and choice of homes available. We are passionate about our role in providing individuals, couples and families with a home in which they can live their life to the full in a safe, comfortable and attractive setting. We are a not for profit charity so all our income goes towards providing services for the community, the upkeep of our tenants’ homes and building new homes. Support people from ethnic, religious and cultural minorities. To provide education and training for organisations about minority issues. Woven Together Dundee

The Woven Together Dundee project is a community-based research project explores the history and showcases the contributions of African, Caribbean and Asian Minority Ethnic people in Dundee. This project attempts to answer the following questions: • How much do we know of the history of ethnic diversity and multiculturalism in Dundee and the surrounding area? • To what extent did Dundee’s textile industry profit from slavery? • Who were our leading anti-slavery campaigners? • How were notable Black visitors to the city received? • How has Dundee benefited from the culture and talents of migrants from different ethnic backgrounds coming to the city? The Woven Together Dundee project is a community-based research project explores the history and showcases the contributions of African, Caribbean and Asian Minority Ethnic people in Dundee. Central Borders Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)

Central Borders Citizens Advice Bureau (CBCAB) is a member of the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, the nationwide network of independent advice agencies. We offer free, independent, confidential, impartial information and advice from our office in Galashiels. Help is available to all members of the Central Borders community and we work with over 1,500 clients per year. The Bureau’s aims are: • to ensure that people do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively. • to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policy and services both locally and nationally.

LINKnet Mentoring (Midlothian)

LINKnet Mentoring Ltd is a voluntary sector mentoring project established to help minority ethnic people living in Edinburgh and the Lothian. We aim to help people from Ethnic Minorities get into jobs, education and also with their Personal Development and integration into the society. LINKnet aims to increase representation of minority ethnic people in further and higher education, employment, public and civic life of Scottish society through a structured one to one mentoring programme which is free to join. One of the main aim of LINKnet is to enhance the quality of life of individuals by improving their personal circumstances so that they are better able and better prepared to attain their goals in the areas of education, employment and personal development. The project also hopes to achieve a collective impact on the minority ethnic community as a whole in their struggle to be better represented in all spheres of life. LINKnet's long-term ambition is to see an equitable Scottish society in which everyone can plays their part and feels part of the wider Scottish community.

Aberdeen Multicultural Centre is a user led charity, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the diverse communities in Aberdeen. AMC encourages co-operation and integration amongst diverse community groups as well as building harmony and exchanging cultural and language diversity within the communities. The organization’s vibrant aims are to support communities and the society from social, economic, welfare and environmental perspectives. AMC would like to see greater social integration, remove social isolation organising different cultural activities and improve economic life through community development projects.

Our purposes are To advance the arts by exhibiting and encouraging community involvement in creating art in various forms. To advance heritage by preserving and repurposing historic Madelvic House as a thriving artist/maker based community hub. To advance culture by encouraging integration of different sectors within the local community through film, exhibitions, talks and community initiated events. To advance education through provision of a variety of workshops, films, talks and awareness raising activities. To advance environmental protection and improvement through promoting recycling / upcycling and creating a community garden. To provide a broad range of recreational activities. The hub will provide a welcoming space for people to meet and learn new skills.

Meal Makers

Meal Makers has been brought to Scotland by the award winning charity Food Train and is proudly sponsored by the Scottish Government and the Tank Foundation. It is a free, local neighbourhood food-sharing project that connects volunteers who have a passion for cooking and want to be active in their communities (Cooks), with older neighbours (Diners) who would appreciate a home cooked meal.

Peebles and District Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)

Peebles and District Citizens Advice Bureau is a local, voluntary advice agency providing invaluable advice, information and support to the citizens of Peebles and Tweeddale. It is an individual, independent charity in its own right, working in partnership and as part of a wider Citizens Advice Network in Scotland and a consortium of CAB in the Scottish Borders. We believe that every citizen should have access to free, impartial and confidential advice that helps them make informed decisions, whenever they need it and however they choose to access it.

PiE-OP Scotland

To work towards the elimination of migrants discrimination in all its forms. We reach to Spanish speaking migrants as this service is delivered in both Spanish and English and to promote integration by offering support and information to Spanish speaking migrants already in Scotland and help with any problems and/or conflicts arising in their day to day life and to assist giving advice, acting as mediators, counsellors and watchdog to make sure that migrants rights are respected (legal or in another form) about employment, migrant rights, housing, health and wellbeing in general that would allow migrants to improve their rights and quality of life and to work with other organisations towards these goals.

Citizens Rights Project (Shetland)

EU Citizens' Rights Project provides information, advice and support for EU citizens in Scotland by connecting groups and organisations working within European communities. We are a group of third sector workers, researchers, legal experts and volunteers. Our aim is to assist EU nationals in accessing information and advice on citizens' rights, and to encourage and facilitate their contacts with public sector and government organisations. We want to inform EU nationals about opportunities available to them in Scotland, but also to promote awareness of their concerns and needs, especially those raised by Brexit.

ADA-Alcohol & Drugs Action

ADA provides a range of drug and alcohol services . The overall aim of ADA is to reduce the harm associated with drug and alcohol use to the individual, the family and the community and to support community based recovery. Interventions range from advice and information regarding 'safer' drug/alcohol use through to intensive work . A range of services is also available to family members from information and advice through to intensive one to one counselling.

Mission LINKnet's mission is to provide a specialised, high quality and a professional mentoring service to minority ethnic individuals including refugees and asylum seekers in their pursuit of employment, education and good quality of life. Aims Through our structured mentoring programme and other intermediary activities LINKnet aims to: •Eliminate/reduce inequality and disadvantage •Drive up public sector performance on equality and improve access to and benefit from public service by taking public services as formal partners to LINKnet’s mentoring programme. •To foster integration and promote dialogue and understanding between communities. •Develop the awareness and capacity of both majority and minority communities to engage with this agenda, to tackle racism and other disadvantages, promote equality by raising awareness of barriers to development, cultural diversity, community contributions to society and economy etc., through LINKnet’s mentor training, mentee induction, information provision and public events.

Edinburgh College - Community Based English as a Second Language

To provide access to learning English for adults, including refugees, permanently resident in the area, who are unable to attend a local community-based class or who need additional support to continue with a class. This is achieved through trained volunteers working once a week on a one-to-one basis in a student's home or other suitable venue.

We support the community of North East Fife by running two hubs LGBTQ hub offering a safe space for the LGBTQ community working together with Trangender Fife to offer safe space for meetings, quiizzes and guest speakers such as the Community Police Working with our two local Highschool clusters to offer support for senior students facing LGBTQ Issues Community Cafe We offer a safe space for single parents and their children, elderly socially isolated, Migrants/refugees and Ukranians, people suffering mental health from local hospital and clients from nearby homeless centre are all welcome Working along with our partners cosy kingdom to support our client with increasing energy poverty as well as seescape to support our visually impaired clients.

Global Family Care Network - Falkirk

Global Family Care Network is a non-profit organisation that works to prevent and intercept child trafficking and systematic abuse and provide long-term and family-based care for children who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation and other forms of abuse. Our mission is to preserve the family and protect at-risk children with the assistance of community organisations, volunteer caregivers, and donors. Our vision is to help as many children as possible who are victims of poverty, exploitation, and abuse by modelling and sharing principled methods that represent the best possible outcome. Collectively, our model projects are active in nine countries with 304 global team members.
