The Point Community Cafe is seeking volunteers to help out with the elderly lunch club on a Wednesday. This role is for 2.5 hours only per week. You will be asked to help in the kitchen preparing meals, meeting and greeting our clients, serving hot food and general housekeeping duties. Full training will be given as well as a chance to earn a level 2 food hygiene certificate. You will be joining a much larger team of volunteers within the KLSB Community Group, however, you will be working within a small group. In all of our volunteering roles you will be supplied a uniform, meet new friends and become part of a larger team of volunteers who assist our community. We have regular team meetings where we encourage our volunteers to share their thought and ideas. All training will be given and support will always be available.

We offer a welcoming approach and treat all members with the dignity that they deserve. KLSB have worked alongside community partners including Stenhousemuir FC, local councillors, local small businesses & various homeless charities and supported accommodation. Members pay a small fee whenever they visit the pantry where they can pick up to 10 items of food, household essentials, personal products and / or pet food. Depending on availability we may also be able to offer free items which will be over the members allocation. We do not operate like a food bank where pantry users are only entitled to a small amount of goods for a small period of time. We offer our members a place on the pantry at a cost of only£2.50 per visit. This cost entitles the member to call into the pantry once per week and pick items of shopping. As we are a non-profit group all funds received are reinvested back into the pantry meaning that there is always stock available for all. We offer our members fresh fruit, bread & eggs. We are looking for volunteers to help at our Community Food Pantry in Stenhousemuir. Duties will include:- • Moving and sorting stock which requires a level of physical fitness • Sorting stock into dates and rotating stock within those dates • Restocking shelves with cupboard items • Making up recipe bags with ingredients • Recording fridge and freezer temperatures • Assisting service users visiting the pantry • Cash handling of fees and donations The pantry is open 3 days per week, although volunteers are in the pantry out with these times sorting stock and restocking shelves. We are looking for volunteer commitment of at least 2 hours per week for a minimum term of 6 weeks, this is to enable volunteers to build relationships with our service users.

garden volunteer leader to assist our new outdoor team. No prior gardening experience is required, but it would be helpful if you can distinguish between a daisy and a daffodil. Your responsibilities will include working with our volunteers, organizing outdoor events, and overseeing the maintenance of our community gardens and town centre planters. Bi-weekly meetings will be held in our community cafe, with complimentary hot drinks and snacks provided.

Volunteers are needed for a new gardening team in Stenhousemuir. If you enjoy working independently or as part of a team, we want to hear from you. As part of KLSB (Keeping Larbert & Stenhousemuir Beautiful), you will be asked to help maintain our community gardens and town centre planters. We hold fortnightly meetings at our community café, where you can make new friends, exchange seeds, share tips, and enjoy a warm drink and a snack. No experience is necessary, but a passion for working outdoors and an outgoing personality is preferred. This is an ideal opportunity to learn new skills and help support your community.
