Our befriending opportunity is an ideal place for you to put your people skills to great use –you will receive training in the role, knowing the do’s and don’ts of befriending, experience with Older people, empathy, ability to relate to an older person, completing paperwork, creating reports, planning activities dependent on your befriendee’s ability, providing social support and companionship within the boundaries of the befriending relationship. If this sounds like you?... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week. Our friendly shop is an ideal place for you to put your retail skills to great use -experience of stockroom work but not essential, ability to rotate stock, occasionally answer the telephone, accepting delivery of donations, managing storage system, storing donations safely and make up starter packs.
