Description

No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good musicians in the team. If this sounds like you?... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.

Alzheimer Scotland (West Dunbartonshire) aims to improve the lives of everyone affected by dementia. To provide information, support and a network of services and support groups.

Our friendly group is an ideal place for you to put your activities skills to great use – do you enjoy activities and like to help people, we would like to hear from you. Some of the activities we have are bowls, art, music and so much more.

So, whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.

We are seeing a rise in demand for our services, everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.

Kincorth Community Centre Hub Volunteers

The Kincorth Community Centre Hub has great volunteer opportunities to assist with a range of activities at the Hub. Volunteer roles include supporting our busy community cafe, which has rapidly taken off, we currently open 9.30 -2.30, but our aim is to run a breakfast and supper club, as well as have the cafe open for activities in the evening. We have a diverse community that has a lot to offer e.g.: art classes/exercise group/dance class/music lessons and we are always open to new ideas-we are more or less a blank canvass. Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. Level 2 Hygiene Certificate will be offered to those who want to volunteer/cook in the café. Any other training would be reviewed and provided if proved relevant. A fantastic, enjoyable opportunity to volunteer and help make a real difference for people and the community. Outdoor Education Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join the Under the Trees team, working in the great and beautiful outdoors whilst gaining valuable experience working with young children and young adults. You will potentially be working in all weathers and in all seasons - we can provide waterproofs! Under the Trees runs fun and educational sessions for school children in the Falkirk and Stirling areas, as well as a programme of public events for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Events run all year round. As a Volunteer Education Assistant, there will be opportunities for you to do a range of the following: - Assist with Educational Sessions for school groups, including term-time forest schools. - Assist with sessions for the general public, including a monthly nature club for ages 0-13. - Assist with holiday play sessions and family events. - Plan and lead in activities. - Maintain resources effectively. - Keep session areas safe and tidy. - Desk-based activities in planning, creating materials and administration.

Cinema Volunteer

Are you a film fan? One Dalkeith requires volunteers to help run our monthly cinema. Tasks will include setting up chairs and the screen, greeting guests, checking tickets, providing assistance to guests who need help, resetting the space at the end of the session and cleaning up. In the event of a fire help the building to be evacuated. This is a customer service role, requiring good communication skills and the ability to lift and move chairs. Training and support will be given.
