No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good environmentalists in the team. If this sounds like you?... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.

Alzheimer Scotland (West Dunbartonshire) aims to improve the lives of everyone affected by dementia. To provide information, support and a network of services and support groups.

The local allotment is an ideal place for you to put your gardening skills to great use - interested in improving the environment through practical action, a reasonable level of fitness and good communication skills, knowledge of growing fruit, vegetables and composting is desirable, duties can include, clearing, planting and harvesting.

So, whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.

We are seeing a rise in demand for our services, everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.

An exciting opportunity to join the Under the Trees team, working in the great and beautiful outdoors whilst gaining valuable experience working with young children and young adults. You will potentially be working in all weathers and in all seasons - we can provide waterproofs! Conservation Volunteering

Assist the Ranger Service as they tackle a variety of conservation tasks that will improve the environment and biodiversity in South Ayrshire blue and green spaces. No experience necessary, everyone welcome. Hot drinks and biscuits provided, bring lunch and suitable outdoor clothing. Meet at Rozelle Lodge, 149 Monument Road, Ayr, KA7 4NQ every second Wednesday between 10.30am and 2pm. Path Keeper

The St Magnus Way are looking for volunteer Path Keepers to walk sections of the St Magnus Way to check the condition of the path and report any problems to the Volunteer Coordinator. Key activities include: • Checking the general condition of the path in a particular section of the Way. • Checking way marker poles and way markers (missing or fallen). • Checking in grassy areas if strimming is required. • Reporting major littering. • Taking home minor litter. • Informing the Coordinator when a section has been checked. What could a volunteer gain from the experience? • Providing a service to the local community and visitors. • Being part of a St Magnus Way community of walkers. • Exercise and fresh air.

Allotment Market Stall Volunteers

The Allotment Market Stall provides good quality, well priced, locally grown fruit and vegetables and reduces waste. We have great opportunities this season for volunteers to be part of helping at our market stalls at the wonderful Seaton Park or Victoria Park, Aberdeen on a Friday. Main tasks include: • Help set up our market stall and sell fruit and vegetables in the park. • Our produce is grown on allotments in Aberdeen so you will help us to reduce food miles and food waste, to support the allotment sites and to provide fresh, local produce. • It's also a great way to meet people and spend time outdoors in the park. Volunteers will be fully trained and supported in our procedures and equipment. Volunteers will also have the support of the Stall Coordinator at all times. A fantastic opportunity to help make a real difference. All volunteers are greatly appreciated.
