Description
By providing company and companionship, volunteers will be enhancing the patient experience and helping to reduce any feelings of isolation and loneliness.
Activities include:
• Chatting and listening to patients.
• Reading to patients.
• Playing board games.
• Reminiscence activities using discussion, books and other resources

Restrictions
A PVG certificate is required but this is organised by the volunteer coordinator.
Experience required: • Helpful, friendly and caring.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Confidence in a hospital setting.
Travel details: The Lorne and Islands Hospital is accessible by public transport, car and foot.
