Description

This is your chance to sign up to be in involved in raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Ayr Ladies Lunch on Saturday 9 September 2024!

We’re looking for support across a number of tasks including, selling raffle tickets, issuing raffle prizes, bucket collecting and generally supporting with the event.

This promises to be a great day of volunteering, and the perfect opportunity to sign up with your friends and family or to come along meet other Teenage Cancer Trust volunteers.

What will volunteers do?

We're looking for volunteers to sell raffle tickets, issue raffle prizes, and take part in bucket collections, as well as general event support and being a friendly and approachable face of the charity.

CPR Champion - Scottish Borders

As a CPR Champion you will support St John Scotland as part of their partnership with Save a Life for Scotland. You will get the opportunity to attend various events within your local area with other St John Scotland CPR Champions and CPR Leads ensuring that participants are equipped to undertake potentially lifesaving bystander CPR according to current policies, regulations and protocol. You will also be trained on demonstrating defibrillator usage to participants. Main tasks: - Deliver Bystander CPR awareness to various people at different events within your local area - Defibrillator Demonstration (training is provided)

Walk Leader for social dog walking club

Walkie Dogs is a community based organisation which aims to better its members and the community, with the aid of our canine friends. We are launching summer 2024 with 74 walks across 74 cities, which will meet up every Sunday. The walks will all be based in local parks and other outdoor locations. We are working closely with mental health charities across the UK to ensure all our members have the support for their mental health if needed. We aim to better the community people live in making it a safe, welcoming and friendly experience. Walkie Dogs is volunteer led and we are reaching across to many different volunteer organisations across the UK for any help they can offer in helping us increase our Walkie Dogs family, and help recruit the walk leaders these communities need. We are hoping 30% of our volunteers to be between the ages of 16-21, with the goal to help reduce knife and gang crime across the UK. We need: Between 3-15 walk leaders for each city. Available for 1 hour a week Available for a minimum of 20 Sundays a year A DBS check, or similar credentials depending on location. Each volunteer will receive: Walk Leader Training Signposting Training Access to the Walkie Dogs Website, with all discounts available that are on the website catering for all dog needs Ability to change locations anytime as often as they like and meet other walk leaders and walkers.

Events and Activities Lead
