Description

Providing admin. support for our different services, you will be an essential part of the Move On Wood Recycling team of staff, volunteers and young trainees. You will be based at our office in Granton, Edinburgh, supported by our Operations Manager, Craig.
Your main responsibilities will be answering phone calls and emails regarding timber and furniture orders and waste wood collection bookings.

Organisation aims and objectives

Move On Wood Recycling is a social enterprise in Granton. We collect waste wood, sell quality timber and upcycled furniture, and provide employability training for vulnerable people. Our aims are to save resources by reusing and recycling waste timber that would otherwise go to landfill; and to create sustainable jobs, as well as training and volunteering opportunities, for local people – especially those who might find it difficult to get into or back to employment.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Staff will complete a form with each volunteer at lunchtime, this can be cash on the day or bank transfer.
Training details: Volunteers will be supported in their role by our Operations Manager who provide an induction to our social enterprise. Training, travel and lunch expenses provided.
Support: Wheelchair Access/Disabled Access Toilet
