Heritage Connections is a recently constituted heritage collective in the PSG area supporting the existing heritage groups to develop, and raise the profile of heritage both locally and East Lothian wide. The Heritage Connections group sits as a subgroup of the area partnership with its membership consisting of local heritage group volunteers and local residents in the PSG area. As chair you will support the development and promotion of heritage projects/ events locally and support the area partnership plan to develop heritage linked to its key objectives.
2 hour meeting every 2 months for heritage connections; representation at Area Partnership meetings bi monthly 2 hour meeting every 2 months; occasional special Management Committee meetings; occasional events support with other heritage groups; attendance at the AGM. Role requires a minimum commitment of 12 months

CPR Champion - Scottish Borders

As a CPR Champion you will support St John Scotland as part of their partnership with Save a Life for Scotland. You will get the opportunity to attend various events within your local area with other St John Scotland CPR Champions and CPR Leads ensuring that participants are equipped to undertake potentially lifesaving bystander CPR according to current policies, regulations and protocol. You will also be trained on demonstrating defibrillator usage to participants. Main tasks: - Deliver Bystander CPR awareness to various people at different events within your local area - Defibrillator Demonstration (training is provided)

Case Work Volunteers

The RAF Association is a member-led, welfare charity that exists to ensure that all members of the RAF community are supported, when they require it. Volunteering for the RAF Association is a great way of developing your skills and meeting new people, at the same time as supporting members of the RAF community in your local area who need your help. A Caseworker is someone who volunteers for the Royal Air Force Association gathering information, asking questions and completing necessary forms and by doing so, you will make a real difference.
