Description

The Outpatients Department is a busy area within Raigmore Hospital.
To help manage the flow of footfall and enhance the patient experience, volunteers will provide a Wayfinding service.

Activities include:

  • Accompanying patients to their appointment within the Outpatient Department.
  • Providing directions to appointments.
  • Providing general assistance to enhance the patient experience and support clinical and clerical staff.

NHS Highland is one of the fourteen regions of NHS Scotland. Inverness and Nairn is served by Raigmore Hospital and Nairn Town and County.

Frequency and commitment details

4 hours per week/1 shift. But we can be very flexible. We also offer study leave for our volunteers who are school or university pupils.

Restrictions

Experience required: - Friendly, helpful and enthusiastic - Reasonable level of mobility - Confidence in a hospital setting

Minimum age: 16
