We are currently looking for a Minutes Secretary to join us on a voluntary basis. DRiNKLiNK believes that no one life should be negatively affected by someone else’s drinking. Our aim is to link people affected by someone else’s drinking, we know the impact of this can be wide reaching so we work to provide signposting to support, and services to facilitate education and recovery. *Objective of the role: To ensure that the decisions, commitments and major discussion points made at Board Meetings are accurately recorded and stored for quick reference. *Key Responsibilities include: • Take the minutes of meetings. • Record accurately the decisions, commitments and major discussion points made at Board Meetings. • Prepare draft minutes from each meeting for review and approval. • Draft minutes to include accurate resolutions from the meetings. • Write up the minutes as soon as possible after the meeting (ideally within 7 days), send to Chair and Secretary for approval and once approved distribute to all committee members. • Prepare and distribute the Agenda and Minutes in a timely manner. • Read, reply and file correspondence promptly. • Collate and arrange for the printing of the Annual Report. • Maintain registers of members’ names and addresses, life members and sponsors. • Maintain files of legal documents such as constitutions and titles. • Maintain confidentiality at all times. • Other duties may be assigned. ClubSport Aberdeen is a vibrant body directed by the clubs, for the clubs. As an independent charity, we provide a unified voice for sport clubs in Aberdeen at the top level across the city through our relationship with the Active Aberdeen Partnership. Our purpose is not only to provide the AAP with club input and a club perspective on arising matters, but also to ensure that Aberdeen has safe, sustainable and supported clubs. It does so by using expertise from within the club network as well as from partners in the wider network. This gives Aberdeen’s clubs the ability to develop and grow their membership, workforce and structure to provide their members with the best possible experience of the sport. Membership is open to all clubs across Aberdeen, and generally around 70-80 clubs register with us on an annual basis. The board of Club Sport Aberdeen is made up of a board of volunteer trustees who meet regularly to discuss programmes and initiatives that will benefit sports clubs across the city, which includes projects such as the North East Youth Panel and Active Schools Voucher projects. However, we would be keen to support clubs to deliver projects that also impact on mental health, increasing confidence and breaking down barriers to access sport and physical activity. The board are currently looking to recruit a minutes secretary to help with board admin. Main responsibilities would include: • Collect Agenda items and share prior to meetings • Taking accurate notes as a record of discussion and decisions • Write up notes with responsibilities and actions • Distribute minutes to all committee members Board meetings take place on a bi-monthly basis, with other meetings scheduled as required. Time commitment would generally be 2-3 hours per month, depending on the meeting cycle and membership processing. Our visitor centre is getting ready for the new osprey and visitor season and we are looking for volunteers for one or more of the following roles: Guide in the Hide volunteer – This role is perfect for volunteers with enthusiasm for birds and a desire to communicate this to visitors, providing them with a quality bird watching experience in our viewing hides overlooking the loch Visitor Centre Volunteer – This is a front of house type role, meeting visitors, making them feel welcome and ensuring they have an enjoyable visit to our centre. There are also retail and membership aspects to the opportunity. Reserve Maintenance Volunteer – Help keep the path network and access to the centre clear and safe for visitors. A more practical volunteer opportunity with less visitor engagement aspects.

We are a young democratically run organisation that needs to grow. At the moment we are a small group working at projects that reduce waste and we intend that Aberdeen and Shire become zero waste areas. That is, that everything we use becomes part of a circular economy and is not discarded needlessly to be tipped or burned. Currently, our main projects are :- *Go Green Café *Trash to Treasure *Men's Sheds *Planting Fruit Trees for Community Benefit These worthy projects are undertaken alongside family and work commitments but we need to do more if we are to make inroads to the waste we generate each day. That presents exciting opportunities for volunteers. Our next step then, is for more 'Trustees' to join with us to take on an officer of the board role, or to become an ordinary member and help steer the way forward to a successful reduction of waste to zero.
