The Ayr Ark has 3 main aims: Engage, Equip and Empower young people in South Ayrshire specifically the Ayr and Prestwick areas. We have Multiple youth clubs on during the week and our main one being a Friday night. Alongside this we are in 5 schools across Ayr and Prestwick, mentoring young people to make positive decisions. The Ayr Ark is a safe and supportive environment for young people where they can build life skills and confidence. CURRENT OPPORTUNITES At the Ark we have multiple clubs and activities, and we are looking for volunteers for all areas: Craft club (October- April) - Tuesday 4pm-5pm Empower Autism- Wednesday 4pm-5pm Empower Autism- Thursday 4pm-5pm Friday night drop in- Friday 6pm-9pm We are looking for vibrant individuals who have a passion for working with young people from diverse backgrounds. To get alongside them, chat to them and support them. The Ark is a safe place for young people and our volunteers must be friendly and approachable to our young people. All volunteers will be expected to comply with our volunteer policy and handbook. PVGs will be given to volunteers over 16. Other opportunities: The Ark is very busy behind the scenes. If working face to face with young people isn’t really your thing, we are still looking for lots of other volunteers with skillsets like fundraising, design, social media, finance. 22nd Paisley Boys' Brigade are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help lead games and sporty activities for their children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years old. The group meets on Friday evenings during term-time, taking part in a wide range of activities including crafts, games, sports, cooking, life skills and community projects.

Your Community Needs You! Help save lives in your community by volunteering to become a Community First Aider. Our Group gets asked to cover community events delivering first aid cover. We are also out and about delivering First Aid where required on Saturday nights in Ayr and Prestwick; covering first aid for all pubs and night clubs along side street pastors, Police Scotland and taxi marshals with CCTV cover and in radio contact with all. Family friends work directly with families, coming alongside and giving support to parents and children when they need it most, making sure they feel less isolated. Safe Families is a charity that works with 35+ local authorities around the UK. Safe Families offer hope, belonging and support to children, families and care leavers; they do this primarily, but not exclusively, with and through local churches. No one should feel alone. Safe Families exist to create relationship and connection because everyone deserves to belong. Volunteers will undergo training before matching with a family, to help them feel best equipped and prepared. They will receive support throughout the entire process.
