Description

26th Stirling Boys' Brigade are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help lead games and sporty activities for their children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years old.

The group meets on Wednesday & Friday during term-time, taking part in a wide range of activities including crafts, games, sports, cooking, life skills and community projects.

Anchors (P1-3) Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm
Juniors (P4-6) Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm
Company Section (P7-S6) Fridays from 7:15pm-9:45pm

Organisation aims and objectives

The Boys' Brigade exists in Stirling & District Battalian to advance Christ's Kingdom among boys and promote the habits of obedience, reverence, discipline and self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness. We do this through a programme for4 boysa aged 5-18 across Stirling & Clacks, including outdoors work, life skills, music, drama, sperts, first aid, marching, science, art etc. The advancement of Religion. The advancement of education. The advancement of civic responsibility. The advancement or public participation in sport.

Frequency and commitment details

You can volunteer on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis depending on your other commitments.

Restrictions

PVG Required - Support provided to complete application process
Experience required: A passion and enthusiasm to support children and young people experience new activities and learn new skills. Training will be provided.
Travel details: Ludgate Church of Scotland
Minimum age: 18

Support

Training details: Safeguarding training, e-learning and virtual/in-person training course on a range of topics. Volunteers will also be supported by other volunteers in the group to help you settle into the role.
