We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers. Our volunteers are a key part of achieving our goals and their support is vital. Join us.

About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Finance Volunteer for our Clackmannanshire and Stirling Group. As a Finance Volunteer, you would be joining a coordinating team of volunteers to plan and deliver services and activities to support people locally.

You will maintain and approve income and expenditure records and explain financial information clearly to other group members. You would ensure our financial requirements and policies are followed, and that money is spent in a cost effective manner.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a large charity, develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

About you
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be comfortable with figures, preferably with an accounting or business background. You will live in the immediate area of the Group, allowing you to meet with other volunteers from the Group.

We rely on fundraising and the efforts of our volunteers and staff to achieve our aims: - To fund and promote the best possible research into MS cause, cure and care. - To be the recognised source of consistent, high quality support and information to all people affected by MS, throughout the UK. - To raise standards of MS care by working in partnership with professionals, promoting equitable access to high quality services based on the needs of the individual. - To be the authoritative voice on MS and to promote the independence, dignity and self-determination of people affected by MS. - To work with people affected by MS to help them to retain control of their lives and to be fully involved in everything we do.

For example, attending a local Twilight Walk or promoting The Big Bake to local companies. What impact will you have? By amplifying The Charity's voice in your local area, you'll help increase the impact of fundraising campaigns & help grow funds and support us in accelerating a cure for everyone affected by a brain tumour diagnosis. We’re looking for people who are:  Passionate about the Charity and our vision  Flexible and willing to get involved as and when opportunities arise  Confident and comfortable in undertaking presentations to a wide range of audiences  Skilled at spotting new opportunities to raise awareness and funds  Friendly, approachable and able to communicate at all levels  A team player, who is also able to work on their own initiative

Fund Raiser Volunteers

Our mission is to deliver urgent medical samples, equipment and supplies free of charge between hospitals, healthcare sites and laboratories in the North East of Scotland when Healthcare Providers’ own transport services do not operate. We need Fundraisers to help us raise the revenue to continue doing our service for completely free to the end user. A fantastic opportunity to help and make a real difference. Health and Charity Walk Volunteers

Are you keen to make a difference in the lives of others and support girls in need? Then The’ Walk to Give Her a Voice’ is for you. This health and charity walk is the first of its kind in Scotland, taking place in Aberdeen city, mainly city centre and Aberdeen beach area. It is a bold statement of unity and solidarity for period related diagnosis and issues and providing support for women and girls. The Walk to Give Her a Voice charity event wouldn’t be possible without the help of our amazing network of volunteers – The Champs! Join this fantastic team and help us raise funds to help vulnerable girls in need with first period kits. Take away anxiety and stigma from periods and keep girls in school, whilst having fun, making friends and creating memorable experiences that will last forever. By volunteering with us, you'll be part of a movement dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those affected by period-related challenges. Whether you can lend a hand with event setup, registration, guiding participants along the walk route, or simply spreading the word, your contribution is invaluable. No expertise is needed, just a desire to make a difference, learn, network, have fun, and create memories of a lifetime! Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. Includes organisation induction and event induction. We also pay any public transport fares and reimburse volunteers every week.
