Are you a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, or art therapist?

Do you want to contribute to the community and help people on limited means to have counselling, psychotherapy, or art therapy? We are looking for volunteer practitioners with at least one year’s post-qualifying experience who would be prepared to see two clients per week.

In return for your input, we offer monthly peer supervision, contribution towards clinical supervision, expenses, professional seminars, and a contribution towards CPD. You will also have the opportunity to raise your own profile as a therapist.

Arkordia, established in 2007, is a small, voluntary, counselling agency within the Lothians. It is registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and has organisational membership of COSCA. Our aim is to provide a high-quality counselling and psychotherapy service, including a wide range of therapeutic disciplines, to members of the public who are on low incomes. Organisation aims and objectives

Arkordia is a group of experienced and fully qualified therapists. Akordia offers low-cost psychotherapy and counselling services if you are on a low income. Akordia’s skilled team of volunteers are committed to the highest standards of safe and accountable practice. The service is available for as long as it is wanted or needed. All are welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Frequency and commitment details

We are looking for volunteer practitioners who would be prepared to see two clients per week and attend a monthly meeting. The total commitment is approximately three hours per week.

Restrictions

A PVG certificate is required
