Local Contact Volunteer – For Those Facing the Challenges of Childlessness

Description

As a Local Contact volunteer you will coordinate and run a social group in the local area for people experiencing the challenges of childlessness.

You will help take care of aspects of the group including:
*Act as main contact for the group
*Organise and maintain an email circulation list of people within the group
*Organise social activities or informal gatherings
*Offer peer to peer support and friendship
*Promote the group in the local area
*Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator who will connect you to people looking for support.

Fertility Network Scotland provides advice, information and support for anyone affected by fertility issues. We work to raise awareness of the impact of fertility problems and campaign for fair provision of fertility treatment throughout Scotland.

Good training and support is provided. By volunteering you can help those who need support. All help is greatly appreciated.

Experience required: Good communication skills, reliability and trustworthiness.

Training details: Good training and support is provided to all volunteers. Includes ongoing support from Volunteer Co-ordinator.
