  • VO57267

Description

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. Thanks to the dedication and support of 100,000 amazing volunteers, they are active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. They build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. They give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good.

Within the Western Isles there is a range of roles required to support the work of the Girl Guides. Volunteers would be expected to work with girls aged 5 - 18, those in the rainbows, brownies and guides. They are looking for volunteers in each of their areas - Stornoway, Tong, Back, Point and Benbecula.

If you are interested you can volunteer by being a leader, assistant leader, unit helper or occasional helper. There is also space for those who would like to provide a support role by taking on administrative tasks or advisory roles.
