The Breadmaker is part of the Aberdeen Day Project (a registered charity), is a social enterprise, artisan bakery and coffee house. We are seeking Bakery Volunteers. This is a chance to volunteer as part of a team at an established charity and social enterprise in the heart of Aberdeen. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for cooking and baking to help grow and develop our apprentices, while volunteering in a fun environment. Volunteers will need to be patient and understanding, you should be confident in your abilities and be able to take responsibility. An exciting and fantastic opportunity to volunteer in an award winning bakery and help make a real difference for people we support as well. At our clubs on Wednesday and Saturday evenings we run a coffee bar selling tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks to our members, who have learning difficulties. The work involves serving customers, making tea and coffee, adding up how much is due and giving change where necessary. The Wednesday Club runs from 7pm to 9pm and the Saturday Disco runs from 7pm to 9:30pm. Coffee bar helpers are asked to arrive by 6:30pm to help with setting up the coffee bar,

We are looking for someone with who has an interest in developing their kitchen skills, with an enthusisic outlook towards food and to help with the production of food labels for our food project. Signpost International is based at the Roundhouse and is a charity that supports communities to help them help themselves. In Dundee we run the Roundhouse Kitchen where we take food waste and turn this into healthy nutritious meals that are then distributed through the food larders across the city.
