Support Session Volunteers help our clients with general advocacy, supporting people with a variety of challenges. This helps us to reduce waitlists and support more individuals by: • Helping clients understand about advocacy • Supporting clients to self-advocate with our tool kits • Signposting clients to other services where required • Supporting the service to deliver “collective” advocacy sessions • Light Touch Advocacy • Supporting advocates with casework • Promotion of services and the organisation • Logging activity onto our systems Volunteer, Ben’s priorities changed after a serious illness. “I wanted to give something back. As a CPR Champion you will support St John Scotland as part of their partnership with Save a Life for Scotland. You will get the opportunity to attend various events within your local area with other St John Scotland CPR Champions and CPR Leads ensuring that participants are equipped to undertake potentially lifesaving bystander CPR according to current policies, regulations and protocol. You will also be trained on demonstrating defibrillator usage to participants. Main tasks: - Deliver Bystander CPR awareness to various people at different events within your local area - Defibrillator Demonstration (training is provided)

The RAF Association is a member-led, welfare charity that exists to ensure that all members of the RAF community are supported, when they require it. Volunteering for the RAF Association is a great way of developing your skills and meeting new people, at the same time as supporting members of the RAF community in your local area who need your help. A Caseworker is someone who volunteers for the Royal Air Force Association gathering information, asking questions and completing necessary forms and by doing so, you will make a real difference. You might like to volunteer with us as event organisers. You could be doing the following duties: - Researching target audiences to find significant occasions. - Creating and maintaining a budget for the client. - Searching for, booking and organizing adequate locations to host events. - Designing event layouts and agendas, including creating pamphlets or event guides. - Marketing events through advertisements and working with PR professionals. - Training staff or volunteers - Overseeing operations during events and ensuring proper cleanup after it ends - Communicating with vendors to provide suitable resources for the event, including sound and electric equipment, security or stages.
