Description

As an IT Support volunteer you will provide a timely, effective, free and impartial advice and assistance on a one-off or short-term basis, to disabled or older people to resolve their computer related issues in their home and/or remotely.

AbilityNet exists to change the lives of disabled people by helping them to use digital technology at work, at home or in education.

Frequency and commitment details

Can commit, on average, 2 hours per week, but role is flexible depending on client requests/needs.

Restrictions

Due to the fact that applicants will be working with vulnerable adults, they will be subject to a Basic Disclosure check by Disclosure Scotland,
Experience required: Good IT and computer skills; Good knowledge of standard hardware operating systems and software; Good interpersonal and communication skills; Access to a computer and email facilities; Own transport or appropriate public transport links.
