As part of The BB you will help plan and deliver a safe and exciting programme for our young people, making sure everyone reaches their full potential and has the opportunity to gain a wide range of badges, awards, experiences, and develop skills for life. As part of our team you will be supported and empowered to deliver this and share best practice. Giving up just one hour of your week could make a huge difference.

Organisation aims and objectives

We provide opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith. Over 40,000 children and young people get involved every week throughout the UK

Restrictions

Experience required: Do I need any particular skills? No – just an attitude that is positive about children and young people, or as we say, have faith in young people. Of course, if you do have skills you can bring then fantastic! However, we value every volunteer just as we value every child and young person.
Travel details: Address: 6 Henderson St, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6BS Our younger section meets each Wednesday night from 6.30-8.30pm and our secondary school age section meets on Friday nights 7-9.30pm. Adult Youth Cadet Leader

Looking for something enjoyable and worthwhile to do and where you might even save a life? Coastwatch West Fife is looking for people to volunteer as “Youth Leaders” to manage their Youth Education Programme at North Queensferry Harbour. They are an important coastal safety service and provide full training for volunteers. As an Adult Youth Cadet Leader, you will lead the Youth Cadet Programme, with support from Assistant Leaders and the Coastwatch Station Commander. This involves planning and delivering a programme of activities for young people, including sessions with emergency services and coastguard. You will also help the young people to learn about watchkeeping skills. If you would like to learn new skills and support young people to engage with safety from a young age, this could be the perfect role for you.

Youth Leader - 1st Dalkeith Boys Brigade

Our volunteers come along for a couple of hours a week on a Friday evening and get involved in facilitating our varied program for the youths, typical activities include games, sports and arts & crafts. We are looking for new volunteers to join and assist between the times of 7.15pm - 9.30pm, with Children and youths from age 5 and above.
