The volunteer cook will be matched with an older person living in their area. They will provide a portion of a home cooked meal once a week, deliver it to the older person and stay for a chat if required. This meal share activity has a very important befriending element to it as many if our members may be socially isolated and will value having a local connection within their community.
Food Train Connects provides a one to one support services for older people who are no longer able to manage independently, through age, ill health, frailty or disability. We help older people to age well, live well and eat well.
