Description

Angus Upcycling Project's aim is to improve the environment through upcycling and re use of small pieces of furniture and providing an opportunity for members of the public to purchase these at low/affordable costs. Also to provide pre loved clothing through donations to those who require them.

Main duties will include:

  • sorting donations and prepare them for re-use
  • listening to customers need and organising appropriate items

This role will provide opportunity for the volunteer to meet and work with other people, socialisation, intergenerational opportunities as well as a sense of a having helped someone in the community. As a result people in the community will be able to obtain much needed clothing for them and their family.

Organisation aims and objectives

Angus Upcycling Project aims to provide education and develop skills of people in Angus whilst protecting the environment. The project will initially upcycle smaller items of furniture. Once in their premises they will open there arms to like-minded organisations and individuals young and older to participate in any manner of upcycling; clothes, artwork, ornaments and more.

10-12pm each day. Volunteers can help 2-6hrs per week.

Restrictions

Under 16's may also be considered with support of an adult
Experience required: Ability to come along and work with others; Be able to listen to what someone may need and organise items
