Cornerstones TASK group allows the people we support to voice their opinions on how Cornerstone, as care provider, affects their lives. The group meets monthly to discuss possible improvements and ideas with the aim of increasing participation within our organisation by listening, and taking onboard, the views of the people we support. The group is expected to get bigger and as a result, we are looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist with the chairing of the meetings. If you are a good listener and capable and creative when it comes to typing pictorial, easy to understand minutes then we would love to hear from you. All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed and full supervision and training will be provided.

Community event volunteers attend and support our regular social events for focus people and their families in Edinburgh and Lothian’s. Social events have a theme or activity (such as arts & crafts, coding, Zumba, martial arts, etc.) and volunteers join in with the focus people. This helps to build the focus people’s confidence and skills in social situations. Events are scheduled, but volunteers can attend a selection of the dates if their schedule doesn’t allow for full commitment to the social events.
Volunteers will be registered with Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme
