Our volunteers come along for a couple of hours a week on a selection of evenings and get involved in facilitating our varied program for the youths, typical activities include games, sports and arts & crafts. We often participate in competitions, go on outings and arrange camp for our youths. We have various opportunities for training for our volunteers at local and national level. You can volunteer from 14+ as a Young Leader, with a wider range of roles for those aged 18+. There’s no upper age limit. We really do welcome applications from all ages. All volunteers working with youths are required to have a PVG. This will be facilitated by the company.
We are looking for new volunteers to join and assist during either or both session timings:-
Tuesday 6.30pm to 7.30pm - children ages 5 - 8
Thursday 6.30pm - 8.00pm - age group 8 - 11
Friday 7.30pm to 10pm - youths age 11 and above

We have lots of opportunities across our buildings and workshops. Some of the places and ventures we are looking for volunteers for are our wood workshop, textile workshop, upcycling, van driving, furniture deliveries and uplifts, clothes recycling, giving talks on personal interests, shop assistant, running workshops, running social groups and much more.

Young people have the opportunity to come together to join our new Eco group in Shetland. This group meets regularly to take action against climate change in our community.
We are looking for committed volunteers who can provide a strong foundation to help strengthen their communities by helping Care Experienced children and young people engage in activities to build their skills and confidence and to be included, understood, respected and valued in their communities.
The Participation Support Volunteer role will assist in providing and supporting activities for young people, providing supportive adults to ensure all children and young people can thrive and bring communities together. This role will involve interacting with young people primary aged 6-13 years through supporting and leading on a variety of activities eg, arts/crafts/sports/general youth work at our fortnightly sessions as well as at our National events that happen throughout the year.
This role will help build community strengths for Care Experienced people and provide social networks to help build resilience and positive outcomes for children and young people. Who Cares? It’s important to us that our volunteer team is included, involved and motivated to change society.
Due the importance of building and maintaining relationships we are looking for someone who can have a long term commitment to supporting our group.

The Elgin Youth Cafe is looking for 18+ aged volunteers to help with drop-in sessions, cooking, holiday programmes and other youth work activities. Most of the sessions are after school and evenings. We are looking for Youth Work Volunteers to…
• Chat to young people, getting to know them, and taking part in games and activities with them.
• Listen to young people’s ideas...and, if you would like to, share a talent of hobby that you have.
