Tealing Garden Project

  • Tealing Primary School
  • Suitable for groups, One-off volunteering

We are looking for volunteers who could contribute to the children starting a fruit and vegetable garden to allow the children to learn how to plant, watch grow then produce soup, jams, etc for the community and possibly start a little garden shop enterprise. We have ongoing projects involving painting, maintenance, building sheds, planting, and weeding developing areas within the school grounds. We have a pond and the children enjoy getting involved with pond dipping to see what wildlife it attracts so additional volunteers would allow us to plan more days doing these things. We are a small village school with a great group of children some of whom would benefit greatly from working and learning from adults out with the classroom.
