We are a small local charity run by volunteers for the people of Grampian who have been affected by an acquired brain injury. We are looking for someone to take the role of treasurer within our organisation. Your role will include the day to day payment of expenses, applying for funding and some general book keeping. This role is not onerous as we have no staff and our overheads are minimal. You will have had previous experience of working or volunteering in book keeping / finance and will have a knowledge of legal requirements. As we are a small committee we all work together and have a lot of fun.

ClubSport Aberdeen is a vibrant body directed by the clubs, for the clubs. As an independent charity, we provide a unified voice for sport clubs in Aberdeen at the top level across the city through our relationship with the Active Aberdeen Partnership.
Our purpose is not only to provide the AAP with club input and a club perspective on arising matters, but also to ensure that Aberdeen has safe, sustainable and supported clubs. It does so by using expertise from within the club network as well as from partners in the wider network. This gives Aberdeen’s clubs the ability to develop and grow their membership, workforce and structure to provide their members with the best possible experience of the sport.
Membership is open to all clubs across Aberdeen, and generally around 70-80 clubs register with us on an annual basis.
The board of Club Sport Aberdeen is made up of a board of volunteer trustees who meet regularly to discuss programmes and initiatives that will benefit sports clubs across the city, which includes projects such as the North East Youth Panel and Active Schools Voucher projects. However, we would be keen to support clubs to deliver projects that also impact on mental health, increasing confidence and breaking down barriers to access sport and physical activity.
The board currently have vacancies for Vice Chair, Treasurer and Welfare Officer positions to support the work of the board and various projects, with the Vice Chair and Treasurer positions also being charity trustee positions.
• TREASURER - Oversee all financial aspects of ClubSport Aberdeen and be responsible for regular reporting to the ClubSport Board and help submit annual reporting to OSCR.
• VICE CHAIR - support and deputise for the Chairperson in leading ClubSport Aberdeen in developing and delivering its objectives.
• WELFARE OFFICER - responsible for promoting safeguarding throughout ClubSport Aberdeen and working with others to ensure a safe and inclusive environment is achieved.
Board meetings take place on a bi-monthly basis, with other meetings scheduled as required. Time commitment would generally be 2-3 hours per month, depending on the meeting cycle and membership processing.

Citymoves Dance Agency SCIO is a regional dance charity based in Aberdeen, in the North East of Scotland. Our charitable purpose is to lead positive impacts through dance. The organisation was established as an independent Scottish charity in 2015.
We’re committed to making continued improvements to how we work, across all parts of the organisation. We strive to remove barriers so that people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds can experience the benefits of a life enriched by dance. We welcome a diversity of perspectives in the work that we support, the classes we teach, the talent we nurture, and the people we recruit. *About the role
Citymoves’ trustees are responsible for the governance and strategy of the charity. We welcome applications at any time, from individuals with a variety of skills. Experience in any one or more of the below areas would be particularly welcome:
• Finance and fundraising
• Knowledge of the local Aberdeen ecology
• Running an arts or community organisation
We welcome both new and experienced trustees from across the UK. We are interested in people who are enthusiastic about learning, and who would like to contribute to the development of dance in the North East of Scotland.
*Time commitment
Trustees are expected to attend the quarterly Board Meetings and one strategic away-day per year. We also have a Finance Committee who meet quarterly, and an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Working Group. Other working groups are formed subject to need. Meetings are held on Zoom.
This is a voluntary, 3-year appointment, with reasonable travel expenses covered. We also have a learning budget and are committed to supporting the development of our Trustees.
Excellent support and relevant training is provided to all Board Members. Trustee training for board members is through an online onboarding process. Citymoves Dance Agency takes new trustees through their induction pack and has two sessions 1-2-1 with the chair of the board, prior to attending their first board meeting.

Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK) is the only charity the UK to provide support to the more than 60 types of muscle-wasting conditions. With 110,000 children and adults affected by this life-limiting condition, it is essential to raise awareness with fundraising groups being a key representative in the community. Our fundraising groups are the local face of MDUK, raising vital funds and constantly raising the profile of the charity so that we can reach more people and their families affected by a muscle wasting condition.

Castlehill Housing Trust (the Trust) is a private charitable landlord providing accommodation across the Northeast of Scotland to people with various needs including learning disabilities and mental health issues. The Trust houses over 150 people in properties that range from group homes (including Houses in Multiple Occupation) homes for families and individual tenancies. The Trust rents its properties via Private Residential Tenancies and leases directly to Care Providers. We are a subsidiary company of Castlehill Housing Association who provide services to CHT such as financial services and housing management.
The Trust is governed by a Board of up to 11 Directors, who meet at least four times a year. A maximum of 6 Board members may be representatives of Castlehill Housing Association, the Trust’s parent Company. The Trust aims to ensure that the structure and make up of its Board delivers a balanced approach with a range of experience and knowledge recognising that overall strategic control sits with Castlehill, but that the Trust must operate and deliver its services in its own distinctive way, meeting the needs of its clients.
*Duties of a Trust Director
• ensure that CHT complies with its governing document (its Articles of Association), charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
• ensure that CHT pursues its objectives by considering our vision statement and strategy for the future.
• ensure CHT applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objectives, i.e., it must not spend money on activities which are not included in our aims, however worthwhile they may be.
• contribute actively to the board of Directors' role in giving firm strategic direction to CHT, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets, and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
• safeguard the good name and values of CHT.
• ensure the financial stability of CHT.
In addition to the above duties, each Director should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience they have to help the board of Directors reach sound decisions. This may involve leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, evaluation, or other issues in which the Directors has special expertise.

The role of Trustee at Stable Life is to support the Chairperson and fellow board members in ensuring the charitable organisation, Stable Life, is managed with due diligence under the rules and conditions set by OSCR.
A Trustee of Stable Life will work with other trustees, the organisation CEO, staff members and volunteers to ensure the charity is carrying out its intended purpose. As a trustee you will lead the charity and help decide how it is run, making decisions that will impact on people’s lives. As a trustee you will use your skills and experience to make a difference to the local community and wider society as a whole.
Timings
2 hours per month as and when required with a minimum commitment of 1 year.
Grampian 50+ Network is a registered Scottish Charity for Older People's Walking Groups which operates across Grampian. With 44 groups in membership and almost 1000 members from Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire & Moray, the Network offers training, events and produces a regular newsletter.
We now require a Treasurer to work with the committee and deal with a range of duties. The volunteering involved is not an every day duty, more to suit our events that we run several times each year along with paying accounts, volunteer expenses etc. The treasurer will be a trustee and attend Committee Meetings approx 6 times each year as well as attending our events.
