Our Granton-based Baby Bank needs your help to sort donations and create vital baby packs for vulnerable families across Edinburgh and the Lothians. We recycle everyone's preloved baby clothes and equipment to provide bespoke baby packs for vulunerable families referred to us by health professionals across the city.
We need more help to process and sort the donations and make up baby packs, as the number of referrals we are getting is increasing all the time. We can only process more donations if we have more hands on deck. We’re a very friendly bunch and would so love to hear from you!
As a charity shop volunteer, you’ll take part in a wide range of activities that support the day-to-day running of the shops. You could be involved in customer service, processing transactions on the tills, replenishing the stock on the shop floor, or perfecting eye-catching displays to entice customers in!
Behind the scenes, volunteers also get involved in sorting donations, finding hidden gems and preparing goods for sale.
We’re looking for reliable volunteers who are 18 years of age or over who enjoy working in a team to make a difference. Our application form is online, but if you need help or more information, you can pop into your local PDSA charity shop and talk to the friendly Shop Manager or give them a call to discuss the role in more detail.
