Bike Revolution are looking for those who live and breathe biking, be it throwing themselves down the sides of mountains, touring the length and breadth of the country, or jumping into some lycra and treading the tarmac. We are looking for people who have a knowledge of how bikes work, who are keen to get their hands dirty recycling, refurbishing and repairing the bikes we get donated, up to a standard ready for resale. In return, we can offer the opportunity to learn from our experienced mechanics, as well as trade deals on bike parts and cycling kit. The mechanic role in Bike Revolution presents a great opportunity to increase your understanding of bikes, how they work and how to keep them in good working condition. A successful and proven bike recycling project, Bike Revolution takes bikes that are either in disrepair or just unused, and refurbishes them for re-sale ensuring they meet strict in house quality standards. Volunteers will work alongside a team of highly trained and experienced bike mechanics, gaining quality experience from our professional team.

Cairngorm to Coast (aka C2C) is a 100km hike and bike challenge that takes place against the backdrop of the magnificent Cairngorm National Park and along the beautiful scenery of the Dava Way. The event takes place on 25th May 2019 and is split 30km/70km, taking you from the heights of the Highlands to the coast of Moray, it’s the area’s most stunning duathlon event. Checkpoint marshals are by far the largest number of volunteers we need and are responsible for manning a specific checkpoint and keeping track of the participants’ progress along the route. Marshals will be allocated your checkpoint a month ahead of the event and are encourage to visit it and familiarise yourself with the area. Radios are issued and need to be collected from Outfit Moray on the Friday before, when training will also be given. You will also receive your checkpoint pack, which will have all the information and paperwork you will need for the day. Remember to pack your smile! It’s the most important thing to the participants and you will be the main source of encouragement and support to keep them going to the end. Cairngorm to Coast couldn’t go ahead without the army of volunteers who make the event what it is. As this is a purely charitable event, your time is highly valuable to us and we are incredibly grateful you have chosen to support Outfit Moray.
