Current opportunities

As part of this, we are looking for volunteers who will: • Provide reception cover; welcome visitors to the office and provide hospitality. • Respond to general enquiries by telephone and e-mail and update databases and room bookings. • You may also be expected to process incoming & outgoing mail • Ensure at all times, the maintenance of DWA’s confidentiality policy. • Assist in the promotion of a fair and quality service that is sensitive and responsive to; service users, funders and visitors.

We are looking for volunteers who will: • Support the Prevention Worker in the delivery of workshops in schools around Dundee. • Support the Prevention Worker in delivering training to professionals in Dundee • Promote the work of DWA in the local and wider community. • Support the Service Manager, CEO and colleagues in achieving team and DWA objectives and in identifying areas for improvement • Complete paperwork in relation to this role • Keep in contact and meet up with the Volunteer Coordinator including regular support sessions (every 6-8 weeks) • Attend events and help to organise social activities with other volunteers and women using/who have used the service.

As part of this, we are looking for volunteers who will: • Organise group activities for women supported by Dundee Women’s Aid • Facilitate groups of women engaged in the organised activities • Consult women about their views on the development of the group and implement their ideas • Contribute to the promotion of and publicity for groups • Complete any paperwork in relation to this role • Meet up with the Volunteer Coordinator including regular support sessions (every 8 weeks).

Do you want to be part of an exciting new initiative at Dundee Women’s Aid which involves working with women within an organisation which aims to end domestic abuse? This is a brilliant time to get involved as we deliver a new scheme connecting women in the local community. This role will involve: - Being paired with a woman who has experienced domestic abuse - Meeting up with a woman/women on a regular basis (at least once a month – times to be decided by you and the woman) to provide the woman with a connection in the local community - Discuss with the woman and identify an area she’d like to work on e.g. going for coffee, joining a group, IT skills etc - Contributing to organising social activities with other volunteers and women using the service
